As an industrial designer, I aim to design objects that can
challenge existing production processes and materials.
Through constant exploration and iteration, I engage in a
design process that incorporates design research, rapid
prototyping, and model making. I am most inspired when
collaborating with designers and researchers to develop new
materials and manufacturing processes that can utilize existing
technologies for environmental sustainability. Although I have
primarily worked within the housewares industry, I have expanded my professional practice toward material research and
innovation across product categories.
In 2016, I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Furniture Design. Most recently, I have completed an MA in Design at the University of Bergen, Department of Design, in Bergen, Norway, where I have spent two years researching opportunities for sustainable product development, creating bio-based materials, and building systems for open-source manufacturing.
