Bo Knoblauch is a Chinese American designer of furniture and objects. His practice as a designer continues to magnify the way objects are perceived in the home, which has led him to investigate ongoing shifts in modern domesticity and technology.
Knoblauch is interested in designing contemporary objects that respond to particular time periods and cultures. By studying objects of the past and present, new materials and manufacturing techniques can be utilized to solve future issues through design. Iterative means of making and history research are both vital components to his creative process.
Knoblauch graduated in 2016 with a BFA in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. He is currently a MA in Furniture Design student at the Universitetet i Bergen, Faculty of Fine Art, Music, and Design in Bergen, Norway.
